Rock of Gibraltar

This is the Rock. It was one of our favorite places we went in Spain. We had a great tour and saw the Strait of Gibraltar (where you can see Spain and Morocco), caves and tunnels in the rock, and of course the apes that have lived on the rock for hundreds of years.

Bath

Our final stop on our 2 day trip was Bath. The whole town is made of local stone and there are ancient Roman baths here (hence the name!).

Stonehenge

After London, we headed to Stonehenge where we had a 6:15 a.m. appointment to get up close and personal with the rocks.

London: Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, Tower of London

Salena came to visit us for a week in July. It was so great to have her here. We went to London for the day and saw all the sights!

Germany Trip: Munich and the Hofbrauhaus

We flew to Germany in May to meet Brent, Susanne, Kiana and Carl who were there visiting Susanne's family for 2 weeks. We spent 6 days there and had so much fun. It was great to see family and it was hard to say goodbye!
We only spent the weekend in Munich, but we saw everything! Brent took us to the Hofbrauhaus on our first night. It is probably the most famous beer garden......it was filled with tourists!

Germany Trip: Lindau

This is Lindau, a city on a lake that borders Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.

Germany Trip: Hiking in the Alps

Brent, Susanne, Kiana, Carl, Andy, Susanne's parents and I all took a ski lift up the Alps and hiked around. It was so beautiful and since it was a clear day we could see forever! After our hike we ate lunch at the lodge at the top of the mountain.

Germany Trip: Neuschwanstein Castle

Here is the beautiful castle in the Bavarian Alps. It was a lovely day and good thing since the hike up to the castle was 30 minutes!

Sandringham

This is Sandringham. It is the personal country house of the Queen. She comes in July and at Christmas. The rest of the time the house, gardens, and museum are open the the public. We learned a lot about the royal family from one of the butlers who acts as a guide while the Queen is away.

Kentwell House

This is a tudor style house from the late 1500s. The weekend we went there they were celebrating May Day. There was about 100 people recreating Tudor life in a village and at the house. It was a neat experience to see how they lived!

Lavenham

This is a really neat village. It is considered one of the best preserved medieval villages in England.
