Santorini, Greece

After we spent 2 days in Athens, we flew to the island of Santorini. It was beautiful. It is the rim of a volcano with a little bit of an active volcano in the middle. When the volcano erupted a long time ago, the inside of the volcano sunk and created what they called the caldera. The active part in the middle has risen over the years and the last eruption was in the 50s. Our hotel had a of the water and the other towns on the island. A few of the towns are built on cliffs that seem to just hang on. We had a great time, the weather wasn't too hot and the food was awesome!

A tired and hot girl-our last day on the island was the hottest.

Athens

Our first couple of days in Greece were spent in Athens. We are not big fans. It was a dirty city, with graffiti everywhere. Our hotel was okay, but not in a great neighborhood. I had read that you only needed to spend 1 day here as there is actually not that much to see and we agree. Two days was actually probably too many.
